Business analysis is critical to the success of projects and other organizational initiatives, yet it often needs better understanding. In addition, project managers often fill the BA role unknowingly, which may result in unsatisfactory outcomes for BA activities, disappointed stakeholders, projects misaligned with business goals, and organizational waste.
In this presentation, we will explore the role of a business analyst compared to the role of the project manager. Project managers will recognize where the lines between their BA and PM work are often blurred and how clarity can help their projects. PMs will learn why it's essential to know what BAs do and how to increase awareness when filling the BA role. PMs will appreciate how they can improve their PM role by better understanding the BA role.
